SHiNE Dance Fitness founder Kendall Nielson is attending the retreat and hosting a live SHiNE class plus a workshop. It's the closest most of us will ever get to dancing in the front row of HQ — except this time the studio has an ocean breeze.

Villa life
We've taken over the beachfront villas at the Renaissance Danang Hoi An Resort & Spa — each one with its own private pool, sun lounges and space to spill out of after class, and every bedroom has its own en suite. Expect pool parties, playlist battles and your new favourite people two doors down. This isn't a hotel corridor — it's a village of SHiNE.
Picture it: golden hour on the lawn, sea breeze in your hair, dancing with your crew as the waves roll in.
Our classes happen outdoors on the beachfront lawn — a stretch of grass between the villas and the sand, framed by palms, with the ocean right there while you move. SHiNE with a view you'll never get in a studio.

Know before you go
Getting to Hoi An
Fly into Da Nang International Airport (DAD), with direct connections from most major Asian hubs. The resort sits on the beach around a 50-minute drive from the airport — and just 15 minutes from the historic Hoi An ancient town.
Plan to arrive on Wednesday 10 March 2027 and depart after breakfast on Sunday 14 March. We'll pool flight times and arrange group transfers where it makes sense.
Most countries will require a visa to Vietnam, which costs USD $25 and takes around one week to receive. Check the current requirements for your passport before booking flights.

Good to know
Can I still book accommodation through the retreat?
Our block of villa rooms — both shared double and private — is now fully booked. Buy your ticket, then book accommodation directly with the resort or at any hotel in Hoi An that suits you. You'll still be right in the middle of all the SHiNE action.
Can I stay fewer nights, or come early / stay late?
The villas are booked as a fixed 4-night package across the event dates, so shorter villa stays aren't available. If you need different dates, you can stay at the onsite hotel instead and pick dates that suit your schedule.
Do I have to be a SHiNE Online member to attend?
No — this retreat is for all dance enthusiasts. Instructors, online members and first timers are all welcome.
What's the agenda?
We kick off on Wednesday evening, 10 March, and finish on Sunday, 14 March — so plan to arrive Wednesday afternoon at the latest and fly home on the Sunday.
The full agenda is being finalised, but expect the SunSHiNE formula: daily SHiNE classes, Kendall's live class and workshop, beach and pool time, and lots of opportunities to dress up!
What isn't included?
Flights, hotel transfers, lunches, three dinners and personal extras like spa treatments. Breakfast comes with your room, and one group dinner comes with your ticket.

Your hosts
This is an independent retreat organised by the Singapore SHiNE crew — it is not run by SHiNE Dance Fitness HQ, though founder Kendall Nielson is joining us in Hoi An.
SHiNE Dance Fitness has been running in Singapore for four fabulous years under the stewardship of instructor Jess Moylan and her incredible wing-women Emily McKenna and Ariana Hayes. There's only one thing these girls like better than dancing — planning events with the most sparkle imaginable.
